FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The b-Cause Foundation is holding its annual Block Party on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. Westy Self Storage of Fairfield will assist the foundation by providing a truck to transport supplies to the event.
The Block Party fund-raising event will feature a day of LEGO Brick Masterpieces, workshops with expert Brick Builders, arts and crafts, a boutique filled with LEGO products and even a Sparkle and Shine station for the girls. Admission is $5 per person and proceeds benefit The b-Cause Foundation and Make-A-Wish Connecticut.
The b-Cause Foundation is a non-profit organization which strives to provide grants and services with the intent of improving the lives of youths in Connecticut. Their mission is to educate children to recognize neighbors in need in their community.
“We are grateful for the support that Westy has provided us,” said Gina Ludlow, president of The b-Cause Foundation. “Use of the Westy Truck solved a major problem for us. We bring in hundreds of items to transform the high school into the Block Party Fair and now have a way to transport it all.”
“We are happy to assist The b-Cause Foundation with their event. The Block Party is an outstanding fund-raiser concept and I am sure there will be terrific LEGO® masterpieces created,” said Joe Schweyer, district director of Westy Self Storage, Fairfield location. “We put forth great effort and pride when supporting the communities we represent.”
Westy is open seven days a week. Call 203-256-2777 or visit www.westy.com for directions.
