“This was a very special evening," said Beverly Balaz, president of the chamber, in a press release.
The chamber presented John Reid, producing artistic director of the Fairfield Theatre Company, which was given the 2015 Company of the Year award. The President’s Award for Community Outreach was given to People’s United Bank and accepted by Armando Goncalves.
"Both the Fairfield Theatre Company and People’s United Bank have immensely contributed to the community in a variety of different ways, providing help and support where they can … and as such, we wanted to acknowledge and recognize their contributions, accomplishments and achievements,” Balaz said, according to a press release.
Joe Rog, director of development for the Fairfield Theatre Company said in a press release: “With this award, the Fairfield Chamber recognizes FTC’s contributions to arts and culture in the community, as well as its role as a major economic engine.”
