Fairfield Chamber Of Commerce Serves Up Economic Outlook Breakfast

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2016 Economic Outlook Breakfast on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Artisan Restaurant at the Delamar Southport.

The featured speakers will be John Traynor, Joe Brennan and Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau.

Traynor is chief economic strategist for People's United Bank. He joined People's in 2011 as senior vice president and chief investment officer. He directs the overall investment process and has ultimate responsibility for the work of the various investment committees.

Traynor also serves as the chief spokesman for the People's United Wealth Management Group investment outlook through regular strategy briefings. He appears regularly on CNBC, "Nightly Business Report" and Fox Business News.

Joe Brennan is president and CEO of Connecticut Business and Industry, an association that works to promote a healthy business climate, supporting economic growth and job creation in Connecticut.

He serves on numerous task forces on state and local taxes, economic policy, manufacturing competitiveness and workforce readiness. Prior to joining CBIA as a staff attorney in 1988, he was in a private law practice in Manchester.

Tetreau has served as Fairfield's first selectman since June 2011. He has also served on the Board of Finance Representative Town Meeting, Town Planning and Zoning Commission and the town's Financial Planning Advisory Committee, where he spearheaded the effort to develop a five-year financial and capital plan for the town.
