Roman brings more than 15 years of experience working in the healthcare and senior living industries to The Watermark at 3030 Park. Most recently, Roman served as executive director at Atria, a senior living community in Riverdale, N.Y. A licensed registered nurse, Roman began his career working in the nursing industry, including positions as a staff nurse at Bridgeport Hospital, an optical surgical nurse at Robbins Eye Center, and a private duty nurse for at-home patients.

“What attracted me to The Watermark was the fine balance between high quality care, and providing residents with a comfortable, warm and home-like setting,” said Roman. “The relationship between the residents, associates, and the community really impressed me, and is unlike any other I have seen working in senior living communities. I am committed to continuing The Watermark’s efforts to provide an environment where our residents can grow and thrive, and will work to maintain The Watermark’s reputation as a resource and asset to the greater outside community.”

Roman received an associate of science degree from Housatonic Community College and his registered nurse degree from Bridgeport Hospital. He currently serves as a member on the Connecticut Commission on Aging and is a member of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association and the Connecticut Association of Not-for-Profit Providers for the Aging.

Before his work in the healthcare and senior living industries, Roman served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1987 to 1995. A native of Stratford, he now resides in Fairfield with his wife and two children.
