The monthly meeting, according to Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Beverly Balaz, was canceled for February due to snowy weather. The next event will be held on Monday, March 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the local pub.
“It’s a nice environment to get everyone together and have some nice idea sharing,” Balaz told the Daily Voice.
Each month, a member of the chamber hosts the Business After Hours event and provides some type of food and drink for all who attend, she said.
Vinnie’s will serve up some pizzas, and each guest will get either a pint of beer or a glass of the guest’s choice of either Pinot Grigio or Pinot Noir.
Price of admission for the event is $15 for chamber members, $25 for future members and $30 for walk-ins.
“It’ll be a nice kick off to the month of March,” Balaz said. “It’s still cold outside, so it’ll be nice to get some hot pizza.”
According to Balaz, there are many benefits to being a member of Fairfield’s Chamber of Commerce, including a wide range of networking and events such as Business After Hours. Many are familiar with the biannual Shop and Stroll events, but she said they also schedule events throughout the year for business leaders to learn and grown in their careers.
