Fairfield's Takami Named Top Financial Officer At New Haven Chamber

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A Fairfield resident has been named Chief Financial Officer of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce.

James K. Takami will manage all financial and accounting functions for the Chambers. He will oversee human resources, employee benefits, IT, and legal and compliance requirements.

"James’ organizational and financial skills are an asset to the GNHCC team,” said Tony Rescigno, president of the GNHCC.

“We look forward to his contributions.”

Takami has over 20 years of accounting, operations management, financial reporting and audit expertise.

He worked as Director of Finance and Operations for the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven. As Director of Finance for the I.A.T.S.E. National Benefit Funds in New York City, he managed the financial operations and benefit plans covering 60,000 participants in the theatrical and motion picture industries.

James currently serves on the Police and Fire Retirement Board in Fairfield as a volunteer Trustee.

He has an M.S. in accountancy from Baruch College; Diploma in Bank Lending/Credit Analysis from New York University; and a B.S. in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
