Chun Yiu Kwok, a successful restaurateur, has bought the 2,750-square-foot building at 180 Commerce Drive and plans to create a restaurant and bar, according to a statement from Angel Commercial, the real estate brokerage firm involved in the sale.

The restaurant will be within walking distance of the Fairfield Metro train station, the new Trademark Fairfield apartment complex and longtime local eateries Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana and pan Asian-focused Sweet Basil.

“The property had previously been utilized as an auto repair facility, but the continued development of the area led to a higher and better use,” said Jon Angel, who represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction.
