Plan B calls itself a boutique burger bar and offers a wide selection of bourbon and craft beers. When it opens, the Fairfield spot will be the seventh location for the chain and the sixth in Connecticut.
But the Fairfield site won't be ready to open until sometime in Feburary, said Rachel Hurvitz?, marketing manager for Plan B Burger Bar. "We're still waiting for the landlord to finish."
Even though the restaurant isn't ready, the company is already looking to hire for the location.
"Our hiring process is a little different. We have our application, but before we get people in the door we have a 'Plan B Field Day,'" Hurvitz said. "It's a team-building exercise so that they can see how well the people they hire will work together before the restaurant even opens. It’s a great way for us to see who is going to be a team player."
Beyond their unusual hiring process, Plan B prides itself on the quality of the product it puts on the table. Hurvitz says that Plan B grinds its own meat twice daily, saying "It's the freshest burger you'll ever eat."
It also offers one of the largest selections of American craft beers and a wide selection of specialty bourbons.
"We do burgers, bourbon and beer," Hurvitz said.
