With the close of Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading pits in July, the kinds of jobs that don’t require top-notch education, family connections or years of experience in trading are fading quickly; the noisy trading pits full of brokers, runners and clerks are quickly becoming a thing of the past, according to the report.
