Soy Yogurt Sold In Connecticut Recalled For Containing Dairy

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A brand of soy yogurt that was sold in Connecticut is being recalled for containing dairy yogurt instead of soy yogurt.

Stonyfield is recalling a portion of O'Soy Strawberry Soy Yogurt after it was discovered that some of the yogurt cups were mislabeled with an undeclared milk allergen and shipped to customers. Stonyfield CEO Esteve Torrens said in a letter that people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to dairy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.

The affected product has a UPC of 0-52159-00603-7 and a code date of Nov. 4, 2017. In addition to Connecticut, it was also distributed to California, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The O'Soy Strawberry Soy Yogurt was shipped to the following retailers:
