NORWALK, Conn. -- The Connecticut Office of Healthcare Access has given the go-ahead for Danbury Hospital and Norwalk Hospital to merge, according to thehour.com.

The approval of the Certificate of Need Application will bring all three under the auspices of Western Connecticut Health Network Inc.

Does this mean ambulances will come from Danbury to Norwalk to transport? Its already a wait in some cases to get the ill to the hospital.Cost cutting is great but not at the expense of someone in need of medical attention.
