Peter T. Mott and Ronald B. Noren were selected, the law firm said, for their work in the area of trusts and estate law, while James E. Rice was chosen for inclusion based on his work in energy law.
All three men live in Fairfield.
A member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations, Mott was chairman of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Estates and Probate Section and is state chairman for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the leading national organization of practitioners. He also heads of its committee on professional responsibility.
Mott was selected by his peers for inclusion in the review in the area of trusts and estates since 2005, and was honored as Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in trusts and estates for the Stamford area in 2013. He also was recognized as a “Connecticut Super Lawyer” in the areas of estate planning and probate; and in the tax area since 2006.
Noren, a member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations and the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, was selected for inclusion in the review in the area of trusts and estates since 2013 and was recognized as a “Connecticut Super Lawyer” in the area of estate planning and probate from 2009 through 2013.
Rice is a member of the American, Connecticut and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations. He served as a director of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and as a member and chairman of the Executive Committee of the Public Utility Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He was selected for inclusion in the review in the area of energy law since 2006.
All three men are Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorneys.
More than 55,000 leading lawyers were included in the new edition after 6.7 million votes were analyzed, according to Brody Wilkinson.
The law firm pointed out that lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore, it said, inclusion in “Best Lawyers” is considered “a singular honor.”
