“The Age of Innocence,” directed by Martin Scorsese, follows a wealthy lawyer, his fiancée and a beautiful countess in 1870s New York City. It stars Daniel Day Lewis, Winona Rider and Michelle Pfieffer and is based on an the Edith Wharton novel.
Emily Orlando, associate professor of English and a Wharton expert, will introduce the film. It will be screened in the Multimedia Room of the University’s DiMenna-Nyselius Library at 7 p.m.
The American Studies Program will host a brief information session and reception for current students and faculty and anyone who might be interested in the graduate or undergraduate program at 6:45 p.m. prior to the screening.
