Edible Nutmeg Goes 'On The Road' In Greenwich

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Edible Nutmeg will celebrate its spring issue in Greenwich and has rolled out a new video series highlighting local producers.

The magazine has arranged for a joint event with Back 40 Kitchen, 107 Greenwich Ave., for guests to pick up a free copy of the issue and enjoy organic light bites from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Thursday, March 2.

The "Edible Nutmeg on the Road" series with Food Network veteran Chef Plum puts a focus on food and drink across Connecticut.

These short videos will celebrate local farmers and producers incorporating quick and easy recipes, interviews, facts and humor. 

The video series kicks off with Black Hog Brewery in Oxford.

A new episode will be released each month.

Host Chef Plum lives in Newtown. He is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America with more than 18 years of culinary experience. He has been featured on Food Network, ABC's "The Taste," Jamie Oliver’s Foodtube and is an advocate and supporter of local food.
