This group is open to those living with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or other forms of memory loss as well as their care givers.

The meeting will be led by medical director Dr. Rahul Gupta. He will discuss memory loss as a symptom of these illnesses while covering the latest research and treatment information.

Gupta will also provide advice on how people living with these diseases and their care givers can deal with certain stresses associated with memory loss.

“We are fortunate to have an expert like Dr. Gupta as part of our staff here at The Watermark,” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark. “With this month’s focus on memory loss, we are pleased to be able to open our Parkinson’s Support Group to a wider range of attendees and hope that those who need it will take advantage of the program.”

A question-and-answer session will follow the group meeting.

The Watermark is located at 3030 Park Ave. in Bridgeport.

Gupta is a graduate from Kasturba Medical College in India. He completed his residencies in internal medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, N.Y. and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Jamaica, N.Y.
