That's why the Fairfield-based Save the Children's organization is inviting residents to attend “A Festive Evening on the Avenue” on Dec. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich, which will benefit the organization's efforts surrounding the Syrian refugee crisis.

Guests will enjoy holiday cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, complimentary makeovers and holiday shopping. Tickets to the annual event, which is hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue and Save the Children’s Greenwich Leadership Council, cost $20 and can be purchased online, at www.savethechildren.org/glc-saks-event, or at the door, with 100 percent of the ticket proceeds going to Save the Children’s response work surrounding the Syrian refugee crisis.

Save the Children gives children in the United States and around the world a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.

Fairfield-based Save The Children has been helping children and their families in war-torn Syria for years. But its work has taken on a wider scope as families take greater risks to leave the dangerous, war-torn country. Read more about its efforts here at the Daily Voice.
