Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Kicks Off Season With 'Santa’s Arrival'

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Children bouncing with anticipation to sit on Santa's lap and read off their Christmas wish lists will have the chance during the annual Fairfield Chamber of Commerce "Santa's Arrival" on Saturday.

Visitors will be treated to mouthwatering hot chocolate, cider, poinsettias, holiday crafts, ornaments, plus breakfast sandwiches and mini burgers from the new Plan B restaurant.

Santa Claus, played by Joe Skarupa, a perennial Santa-About-Town, will arrive by hook-and-ladder truck down Reef Road at 10 a.m.. Children will then have several hours to present their list while Santa sits in the gazebo until 2 p.m. Santa’s elves will give each child a small holiday gift item. 

As in the past, the ever-popular children’s petting zoo will return, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. weather permitting, as well as horse and buggy rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m

Gazebo holiday music will be provided by the Computer Doctor, Fairfield.

The Chamber has invited town organizations to distribute information and/or sell items to benefit and support their programs. There is no charge to participate, and all non-profits are welcome. For information regarding the event, call, 203-255-1011.
