FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The inaugural Designer Showhouse on the Green will run from Saturday, Sept. 19, to Sunday, Oct. 25 in Fairfield.

The Showhouse will benefit St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Operation Hope. Patriot Bank is the bank sponsor.

More than 15 top interior designers and landscape designers will showcase their skills at St. Paul’s rectory, a historic home rich with history dating to 1834.

A preview party will be held on Friday, Sept. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets to the preview party begin at $175.

“Patriot Bank is honored to support the 2015 Designer Showhouse on the Green and the very worthy Operation Hope, which ensures that many of Connecticut’s 30,000 homeless have nourishment and a safe place to sleep at night,” said Kenneth Neilson, president and CEO of Patriot Bank, a sponsor of the showcase. “Everyone needs a helping hand at some point in their life, and it’s important that we go beyond our daily routines to be there for our community. The Designer Showcase is a wonderful example of a community giving back.”

Hours of operation for the Showhouse will be Tuesdays through Sundays, from 10a.m. to 4p.m. (Closed Mondays). Daily admission is $35 and includes a Showhouse journal. In addition to admission to the Showhouse and the grounds, Designer Showhouse on the Green will feature a boutique and an Operation Hope information center.

Operation Hope was founded in 1986 when the local community became aware of individuals in the community who were unable to meet their own basic needs for food and shelter. Operation Hope’s Food Pantry provides more than 150,000 meals a year; its supportive affordable housing provides permanent rental housing for previously homeless families and individuals; it offers shelter each evening to men, women and families and remains open 365 days a year.

St. Paul’s has an active and committed congregation engaged in a wide range of ministries, an active and growing youth organization and a commitment to community outreach. The parish actively supports Operation Hope, as well as its sister Episcopal parish in Bridgepor.
