FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Patterson Club in Fairfield will host the Save Children's 2016 Golf Classic on Tuesday.
Presented by leading global apparel company PVH Corp., the inaugural golf event will benefit Fairfield-based Save the Children’s programs, which give children in the United States and around the world a healthy start and the opportunity to learn and be protected from harm.
The day kicks off with registration and a buffet brunch at 10 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.
Participants will enjoy a round of 18 holes at the Patterson Club in Fairfield's Greenfield Hill section.
The day's festivities will include opportunities to interact and learn from PGA pros Carlos Franco and Rob Labritz.
There will also be course contests, a silent auction, a reception and more, and participants will be able to learn more about Save the Children and how it invests in childhood every day.
“While aiming for the pin on the course, golfers can also give kids a shot at changing the course of their futures,” said Carolyn Miles, president and CEO of Save the Children. “Save the Children is tremendously grateful to presenting sponsor PVH -- the parent company of well-known brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and IZOD – and all of the participants for making our first golf classic a reality."
PVH Chairman and CEO Emanuel Chirico said, “Save the Children is an incredible organization and has been a fantastic partner of ours for nearly a decade. Today’s children will be our future CEOs, employees and customers, and we believe supporting an organization like Save the Children allows us to help create lasting changes in the lives of children in need."
