FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- First Selectman Mike Tetreau has announced that the Town of Fairfield and the Chamber of Commerce will co-sponsor “Shop & Stroll Into Spring,” the latest event in Fairfield’s Shop & Stroll series, on Thursday, April 28.
During the festivities, participating stores in downtown Fairfield will stay open late and will offer patrons an assortment of complimentary hors d’oeuvres and seasonal refreshments from 5 to 9 p.m.
In addition, local restaurants will be offering dinner or drink specials throughout the evening.
Along with the benefits to shoppers and those looking for a night out, the event will assist with a cause: proceeds will go to the Fairfield Foundation for Education, a community non-profit group that awards grants to Fairfield public teachers and educators.
Businesses that wish to participate in Shop & Stroll should contact Fairfield Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart at (203) 256-3120, or Beverly Balaz of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce at (203) 255-1011.
