Fairfield Library Presents Lecture On The Wives Of Henry VIII

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Have you ever been curious as to why Jane Seymour and Catherine Parr were able to maintain King Henry VIII’s favor? 

Jane Seymour was one of the wives of Henry VIII. The Fairfield Library will explore the lives of Jane Seymour at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Catherine Parr at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21, as part of a history lecture.

The Fairfield Public Library will be hosting two history lectures on: "Queens to the End: The Third Wife and the Sixth Wife of Henry VIII." 

Join the library as it explores the lives of Jane Seymour at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Catherine Parr at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21. They are the two wives of Henry VIII who were not cast aside. Learn how they were able to remain queens to the end. 

Presenter Mona Garcia taught European history at the college level and is on staff at the Fairfield Public Library. She has presented conference papers in the United States and Great Britain, and has been published in her field of English history. 

Advanced registration is required due to the limited space. 

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.
