Fairfield Pianist Offers A Summer Soirée At Pequot Library

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield resident and award-winning pianist Alex Beyer will perform with Alan Murchie on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Pequot Library’s Auditorium.

Attendees can delight in the works of Brahms and Rachmaninoff.

Beyer has been a guest soloist with the Symphony Orchestras in Milwaukee, Charlotte, Hartford, New Haven, Waterbury and Bridgeport. He won first prize in the Renee Fischer Competition and MTNA State and Regional Competitions.

He is currently a sophomore in the Harvard/NEC dual degree program, studying with Russell Sherman and Wha Kyung Byun.

Beyer has collaborated with conductors Gustav Meier, Carolyn Kuan, Andrews Sill, T. Francis Wada, Constantine Kitsopolous and Edward Cummings, and recently performed with founding members of the Borromeo Quartet Nicholas Kitchen and Yeesun Kim.

Tickets are available on the library’s website for $20 per ticket or $25 at the door. The performance benefits the Pequot Library.
