During these eight days, the libraries will waive fines on overdue materials in exchange for food items to benefit the Operation Hope Food Pantry.

Patrons only need to donate one item from Operation Hope’s online wish list to have their fines waived.

However, the library cannot waive fees due for overdue museum passes, damaged materials, or items that have already been billed for replacement.

The drive will be held at the Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield Woods Branch Library, and Pequot Library.

Community members who do not owe any library fines are still encouraged to participate in the food drive.
