Fairfield Public Library Lecture Tackles History Of Iraq

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Author and professor Mark Albertson will discuss Iraq at the Fairfield Public Library’s next history lecture on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Rotary Room of the Main Library.

In his lecture, “Iraq: Creation of Colonialism,” Albertson will trace the progression of Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, and cover how Iraq and its neighbors became the products of the British and French colonial agendas. 

Albertson is the historical research editor at Army Aviation magazine in Monroe and is a longtime member of the United States Naval Institute. He is an author and professor of history at Norwalk Community College.
