Prom-inspired zombie costumes are encouraged at the special event for teens in sixth through 12th grades. The Zombie Prom is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Main Library at 1080 Old Post Road.

"Wouldn’t be caught dead going to the prom? How about coming to the Zombie Prom and partying with the undead? In celebration of zombie mania and to have some fun mid-winter/pre-Valentine’s, come to this after hours event at the Library (what better place to meet a zombie than in the dark, deserted Library?)," a press release said. "Even if zombies don’t strike you as romantic, come for twisted games and activities."

Registration for the program is requested. All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free. To register, or for more information, residents can visit the Fairfield Public Library website or call 203-256-3160.
