Fairfield Retailers Join Restaurant Week With Shopping Night Out Event

FAIRFIELD, Conn. --  Merchants throughout Fairfield will be offering extended shopping hours on Thursday, Oct. 16, as part of Fairfield Restaurant Week. 

Participating merchants will be staying open until at least 9 p.m., and offering light refreshments to patrons who want to pair a little shopping with dinner out.  Additionally, more than 20 retailers will be offering special discounts and promotions in conjunction with Fairfield Restaurant Week, which will run Sunday, Oct. 12, through Saturday, Oct. 18. 

Retailers offering discounts or sales promotions include the Fairfield University Bookstore, Apricot Lane, the Fairfield Museum and History Center, Magic Beans, Red Mango, Jenny Boston Boutique, Island Outfitters, Dash ‘N Drizzle, The Beehive, The Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts, Hazel Daze, Vintage Garden Gifts, the Fairfield Theatre Company, 5 Oceans Fair Trade, Chloe’s Closet, Coreen’s Bridge Floral Shop, Capri, The Label Exchange, Catch a  Healthy Habit, Swim ‘N Surf and Yurway Boutique. “Restaurant Week gives the public the opportunity to visit the many fine restaurants and retailers in our community," said First Selectman Mike Tetreau. 

"This weeklong event is another way the town can show its support for our local businesses, help our local economy and provide our residents with an enjoyable experience. We encourage Fairfield’s citizens and visitors alike to join us in this special town event.”
