FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Theatre Company will host three new concerts and a film festival starting in April.
This April, immerse yourself in the wonders of the ocean without getting your feet wet with the Ocean Film Festival Australia on Tuesday, April 26. The festival showcases over two hours of footage taken above and below the water’s surface. The selection of short films document the beauty and power of the ocean, and celebrate the divers, surfers, swimmers and oceanographers who live for the sea.
“This year we had over 428 films submitted, we narrowed that down to a two-and-a-half hour program and because it’s driven by what gets submitted it’s always vastly different every year,” said festival director Jemima Robinson.
Ocean Film Festival tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
After selling out StageOne four times, FTC brings back Trevor Hall and his mix of reggae, surf-inspired folk and roots rock to The Warehouse on Thursday, May 26. Hall broke through the music scene very early in his career, joining sold-out tours with artists such as Michael Franti, Brett Dennen, Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse, Matisyahu and The Wailers. Tickets are $28 for general admission.
FTC is delivering the spirit of the Big Easy in the form of Cowboy Mouth on Saturday, June 4. Cowboy Mouth is pure New Orleans rock and roll.
"With every show, no matter where it is, we try to turn it into New Orleans during the middle of Mardi Gras. It's a unique live concert experience. It's like a southern gospel revival without the religion," said frontman Fred LeBlanc. Tickets are $38 for general admission and member price is $35 general admission.
Ana Popovic will return to the FTC Thursday, June 9. The award-winning guitar slinger blends electric funk and slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and a blues groove with soulful vocals. Tickets are $38 for reserved seats and members are $35 for reserved seats.
