Members of the American Sewing Guild will teach about basic hand-sewing at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the library at 114 Fairfield Woods Road.
"During the craft salon, participants will learn how to make clothing repairs and hem pants," library representatives said. "We will also make Mason jar sewing kits with pincushion tops. All supplies are provided. If you have a cotton fabric that you want to use for your pincushion, please bring it."
The craft salon is recommended for people 18 years and older and registration is required. For more information, or to register, call 203-256-3160 or visit the Fairfield Public Library website.
