FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield First Selectman Michael Tetreau will be the first guest page-turner at Pequot Library's Page Turnings of rare books, which begins at 10:45 a.m. Friday, Jan 8.

This will be one of the final chances for the public to view the current exhibition, "Exploring America: Christopher Columbus," which is open through Friday, Jan. 15, during normal library hours.

On view are rare books about Columbus and his expeditions, including a facsimile of a letter he wrote of his journeys in 1492. The original is in the Pequot Library Collections in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscripts Library at Yale University.
