FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Senior Center announces several events for the week of April 13, including an AARP meeting and a spy satellite program.

Upcoming events include:

Ed Hynes presents "Behavioral Investing," the impact of psychology, emotions and behavior on financial decision-making, on Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m. All are welcome. A complimentary light supper will be provided by Maplewood Senior Living. Registration is required. 

Dr. Martin Yellin presents a fascinating program on "Big Bird," the super-secret PerkinElmer Hexagon Spy Satellite, declassified in 2011, on Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend, but registration is required. 

There is no Technology Tutoring will be on Thursday, April 16.

  • An AARP meeting on Monday, April 13, at 1 p.m.
  • Watercolors with Sabine is on Mondays at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $50 for a five-class session. Registration is required.
  • Legacy Writer's Workshop with Amy Luciano is on Tuesdays at 1 p.m.
  • Zumba with Barbara Gianninoto is on Thursdays at 5 p.m. The cost is $5 per class.
  • Tai Chi with Bill Wrenn is on Thursdays at 5 p.m. The cost is $40 for an eight-class session.
  • Technology Tutoring with Sean Oppenheimer is on Thursdays at 4 p.m.
