Stamford's Ferguson Library Hosts 'A Novel Affair' Fundraiser

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Ferguson Library’s major fundraiser, "A Novel Affair," will transform the library at Bedford and Broad streets, in Stamford into an elegant venue Thursday, April 14 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event, which raises critical funds for the library, is a foodie’s delight, featuring small plates from some of the most popular area restaurants and caterers, an open bar and wine tastings hosted by BevMax. There will also be craft beer tastings courtesy of Charter Oak Brewing Company and Half Full Brewery, and a ‘Giving Bookshelf’ to help the library put books on the shelf. 

This is the sixth year for the event, which last year netted $160,000 for the library. 

Food and drink will be provided by: BevMax; Charter Oak Brewing Company; Cilantro; David’s Soundview Catering; Del Frisco’s Grille; DiMare Pastry Company; Eventi Cafél Greenwich Staffingl Half Full Brewery; Hudson Grille; Lorca Napa and Co; Ocha Thai Japanese Cuisine; Remo’s Brick Oven Pizza Company; Tawa Indian Cuisine; Villa Italia Ristorante. 

The Ferguson will be honoring Ernest N. Abate, community leader, partner of the law firm Abate and Abate, and former Speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives. Tickets are $125. Book club price is $100. Junior Professional ticket, $26 and under, is $75.
