Robuck will discuss her upcoming novel “The House of Hawthorne.”

The book is about the 19th-century romance between renowned writer Nathaniel Hawthorne and artist Sophia Peabody.

After Robuck’s talk, there will be a question-and-answer session along with a book signing. Refreshments will be served, and Robuck’s books will be available for purchase.

The event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave., Southport.
