PASSAIC, N.J. -- The City of Passaic is offering free installation of smoke alarms in city homes to help reduce the number of fire-related injuries and fatalities.

Residents may contact the Fire Department by phone at 973-365-5688 or email at info-fire@cityofpassaicnj.gov to schedule an installation appointment. 

Only one, two and three-family homes are eligible for free installation.
