The sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

There will be 10,000 other new and gently used books, media and framed prints for sale at bargain prices. Admission is free, and all sale proceeds support Pequot Library's 700-plus annual programs for adults and children, serving over 100,000 participants a year.

Silent auction items include several lots of "Star Wars" books; a private guided Highlights Tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with Rochelle Almeida, professor of global cultures at New York University; carved kangaroo bones; and more.

Signed and framed prints by Canadian designer Theo Dimson will be on sale. Dimson was internationally recognized as one of the most creative and innovative graphic designers on the planet. Framed and signed prints from his Falconbridge Mines poster series are available.

Most books have been chosen for their suitability for holiday gift-giving and hundreds of new CDs and DVDs, still factory-sealed and shrink-wrapped, will be on sale.
