Pequot Library Teaching Ukrainian Egg-Dyeing At Workshop

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Pysanky, a Ukrainian egg-decorating workshop, will be held Wednesday, March 25, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pequot Library in Fairfield.

The program is for children accompanied by adults. Learn to decorate eggs with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using the traditional wax resistant (batik) method in the workshop. Participants are encouraged to wear old or worn clothing.

The fee is $10, and eggs will be provided. There is a 15-child maximum; registration is required. Call 203-259-0346 Ext. 18 to register.

The event will be led by Stefania Kowal, a Pysanky workshop instructor with over 20 years of experience, and Marianne Pysarchyk.
