Pequot’s book sale is from July 24-28 at the library, 720 Pequot Ave., Southport.
On, July 25-26, the church asks that in exchange for parking people make a donation of canned food or money. The Rev. Margaret (Peggy) Hodgkins, rector of Trinity Southport, said in a press release: “In keeping with our mission of social justice ministries, all proceeds will benefit St. Luke's Bridgeport Food Pantry or other food pantries serving people in need.”
The book sale will offer more than 55 categories, including more than 120,000 books, plus about 10,000 CDs, many DVDs and media items, records and more, according to a press release.
Hours and prices are:
- Friday, July 24, 9 a.m.-7 p.m., prices are double the marked price.
- Saturday, July 25, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., priced as marked.
- Sunday, July 26, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. priced as marked.
- Monday, July 27, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., half the marked price.
- Tuesday, July 28, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., $5 per bag day.
Book sale shoppers can park at Pequot Library or in the Trinity Episcopal Church parking lot (on the corner of Pequot Avenue and Center Street).
