Photographer Amy Dolego Holding Solo Exhibition In Southport

SOUTHPORT, Conn. --  Easton fine arts photographer Amy Dolego's one-woman exhibition, "Through My Lens," will be held in The Perkin Gallery at Pequot Library in Southport.

The show will run from Tuesday, Sept. 8, through Wednesday, Oct. 7, with an opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibition will take place during regular library hours and is free and open to the public. Dolego's works that will be on display include flower portraits, still lifes and landscapes.

Dolego is the founder of Winton Studios, a commercial photography firm located in Easton. She was the winner of "Best in Show" at Pequot Library's 17th Annual Art Show in 2014.

As an architectural photographer and member of AIAP, Dolego specializes in creating captivating images for architects, interior designers, garden/landscape designers and real estate professionals. 

She combines 20 years of experience in commercial and residential design with a photography degree from the renowned Paris Institute of Photography (Speos) in Paris. At Speos, she was educated in different photographic genres, including fine art, fashion, studio, reportage, documentary, and still life. 

In addition, Dolego learned printing techniques from George Fevres, a founder and the former director of black and white photography at Paris’s Pictorial Lab (PICTO) and the personal printer for Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, and Josef Koudelko. 

Initially a fine arts and fashion photographer, Dolego has worked and exhibited extensively in the U.S. and in Europe. Her images have appeared in articles and on covers of magazines such as American Art Collector, New England Magazine, Venü, Cottages and Gardens, New England Home, Life at Home, Fairfield Magazine, Builder magazine and Westport magazine as well as major newspapers such as The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal online editions. 

Dolego’s Paris fashion images appeared in Atelier Chardon Savard No. 6 and she was selected as a photographer to cover the 2008 National Democratic Convention. 

The Pequot Library is located on 720 Pequot Ave, Southport.
