The goal of this third annual fundraiser is to raise $30,000 to bring awareness to the importance of early learning experiences to prepare children for kindergarten.
More than 100 guests from throughout Fairfield and Westchester counties are expected to gather in The Folly at the Delamar Hotel, an indoor/outdoor event space, to help Jumpstart raise awareness on the importance of high-quality early learning experiences for all Connecticut children.
The event will feature a silent auction, a four-course gourmet dinner featuring a spin on classic New England cuisine, an open bar and music.
Tickets start at $150 per person or $250 per couple. All proceeds go toward supporting and expanding the Jumpstart program throughout Connecticut, giving more Connecticut children access to resources that will help them develop the necessary skills crucial to success in kindergarten and beyond.
At the 2015 event, more than 70 attendees raised $30,000 for the local Jumpstart program.
In Connecticut, Jumpstart works with four university partners -- Central Connecticut State University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Southern Connecticut State University and the University of Connecticut -- to recruit and train 194 college students to serve more than 500 young children in early learning centers.
