The exhibit, which runs until Friday, Aug. 28, features paintings from 14 artists.
En plein air is a French phrase used to talk about painting outdoors.
“In this exhibition I present a diverse group of Connecticut artists, both in age and in methodology,” Nancy McTague-Stock, "Plein Air Revisited" curator, said in a press release. “The face of plein air is evolving, and this exhibition seeks to introduce the viewer to these current observations.”
The artists exhibited are the following.

- The late Helene Brier of Fairfield.
- Frank Bruckmann of New Haven.
- Leslie Concannon of Wilton.
- David Allen Dunlop of Wilton.
- Katrina Franzen of Fairfield.
- Dana Goodfellow of Darien.
- Fran Henry Meehan of Southport.
- Judith Orsatz Katz of Westport.
- Missy Savard of Fairfield.
- Rebecca F. Stock of Wilton.
- Jane Sutherland of Fairfield.
- Diane Weeks of Darien.
- Jarvis Wilcox of Southport.
An opening reception will be held from 6-8 p.m.
A “Meet the Curator” coffee will also be held from 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday, July 15.
The exhibit will be open during normal library hours, which are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The Pequot Library is closed on Sundays.
