The art show is from Friday, Oct. 16 to Friday, Oct. 23. The money raised provides annual support for more than 500 programs and library services at Pequot Library.
The art show, "Exploring the Landscape of Art, Exploring the Art of Landscape," is open to all artists working in any style, subject or medium. Abstract or realistic, all subjects and styles are welcome.
Entry forms are available online or at the front desk of the library. Fill out an entry form and return it to the library, along with the entry fee. Art drop-off date is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
So far, 107 award-winning artists have submitted entry forms.
“There is a good mix of paintings, oil and acrylic, plus photography and works on paper," said the library's Victoria Konopka. "Two kinetic sculptures have been confirmed and will be constructed on Pequot Library’s Great Lawn next week.”
A preview benefit party kicks off the show from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 16. There will be drinks and food by Susan Kane Catering, a Viewer’s Choice Partygoers vote for best in show, performance art and a silent auction featuring art and unique experiences. Reserve tickets at pequotlibrary.org.
