Lupica’s latest release is titled “Fantasy League.” It follows Charlie Gaines, a 12-year-old sports fan, whose fantasy-football talents and podcasts get noticed by the owner of Charlie’s favorite pro-football team, pitting Charlie at the center of media frenzy as he copes with adolescent life.
Lupica will discuss various themes portrayed in the story including father-and-son relationships, and physical sports talent vs. intelligent talent.
Publisher’s Weekly has called Lupica “an extraordinarily smooth writer with a great ear for witty repartee.” VOYA magazine called him “the greatest sports writer for middle school readers.”
Lupica is the bestselling author of such titles as “Heat,” “Travel Team” and “Million-Dollar Throw.”
