Over 75 people attended the event.

The children chose their own people to interview and write about.

The public learned the stories of Fairfield’s own community heroes told through the eyes of local students.

The exhibit features 12 different people who have been pillars of the community for decades and together reflect the diverse canvas of talents, interests and accomplishments of those in the community.

Two children won awards for their displays — Keilan Rosow and Paris Carbone.

The exhibition runs through Nov. 15.

The honorees are Jim Biggs, Jim Bradley, Jane K. Dean, Beatrice C. duPont, Dr. Charles Hemenway, Jr., Elaine Oleyar, Elizabeth Sesselberg, Barbara (Bebe) Stetson, Landon Storrs, David K. Sturges, Gwendolyn L. Ward and George Wiswell.
