Mat Pilates class: 10 a.m. to 11:00 A.M. This exercise routine is performed on the ground using an exercise mat. The key to performing mat pilates exercises well is to focus on breathing. First Annual 5k for Only You: 8:00 a.m. First Annual 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Kids' Run to benefit Only You Foundation, Inc., featuring Live Music and an International Kids' Tent to keep the little ones occupied. $35 for 5K, $20 for Kids 1-Mile Run. Harmony4kidz “Peace Concert” to Raise Funds for At-Risk Youths: 7:30 p.m. It is a fundraising concert that will benefit Harmony4kidz, a charity that enriches the lives of children via the power of music. Founder, acoustic guitarist/folk singer Irena Hart (Fairfield), Def Groove, a brother-and-sister hip-hop duo, Justin Anderson, and Anatasha Machuc will take the stage. $20. The 1750 Ogden House Tour: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is a house furnished with period objects including textiles and fine pieces of furniture with Fairfield provenance. You will see how people lived in the eighteenth century, take a stroll through the kitchen garden, generously maintained by the Fairfield Garden Club, and view plantings used in colonial times. The Ogden House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is an exceptional survivor of a typical mid-18th century farmhouse. Members: Free; Non-Members: $3. Sunday, Sept. 22
Bike (or Hike) the Beach: 8:00 a.m. A fundraiser to benefit people with disabilities. Riders choose from 10, 20, 45, or 62-mile routes that pass through historic New England towns, all along the scenic CT coastline. Walkers participate in a 5K Fitness walk on a level route near the beach in Fairfield. The event attracts riders and walkers of all ages.. $35 per rider, $25 per walker. Jennings Beach.
