Monday, Dec. 31
New Year’s Eve High School Hockey Face-Off:
Noon and 2 p.m. Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena hold a holiday tournament featuring four local high school boys’ hockey teams. Notre Dame and St. Joseph’s play at noon, followed by Trumbull and Branford at 2 p.m. 600 Main St., Bridgeport.

Tuesday, Jan. 1
Big Apple Circus Field Trip:
12:30 p.m. Southport’s Pequot Library has arranged for a block of tickets to the Big Apple Circus at Lincoln Center for New Year’s Day. For information on ordering tickets visit the library’s website.

Wednesday, Jan. 2
Tech Topics: E-Reader Overview:
9:30 a.m. The Fairfield Public Library hosts a class on the basics of working Kindles, Nooks, iPads and other e-readers. 1080 Old Post Road.

Disney On Ice: Worlds of Fantasy:
7 p.m. Disney on Ice begins a five-day, eight-show engagement at Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena. Shows are also scheduled for Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. 600 Main St., Bridgeport.
