Jobs 2013: Cover Letters, Thank You Notes and More: 10 a.m. A career development specialist from the Connecticut Department of Labor leads a class in the basics of applying for jobs at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

Community Cinema: 7 p.m. The Fairfield Theatre Company shows a free screening of “The Powerbroker,” a documentary on civil rights leader Whitney M. Young Jr. 70 Sanford St.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Charles Dickens Lecture: 7 p.m. Professor and Southport resident Susan Whitcomb gives a lecture on “Charles Dickens: Visual Clues to a Rich and Controversial Public and Private Life” at the Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave.

Thursday, Feb. 28

Once Upon a Time: 6 p.m. The Pequot Library hosts a fundraiser for the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, featuring wine, food, Mad Libs and a performance by the Bensonians, Fairfield University’s all-male a capella group. 720 Pequot Ave.
