Friday, Oct. 5
An Acoustic Evening With Over the Rhine: 8 p.m. Folk duo Over the Rhine performs. Tickets are $29 at the door or $25 in advance at the theater’s website. Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne, 70 Sanford St.
Glengarry Glen Ross: 8 p.m. A group of Fairfield University professors puts on a production of the David Mamet play. Another performance is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the theater box office. Quick Center for the Arts, 1073 N. Benson Road.
Mary Wilson Concert: 8 p.m. The former member of The Supremes performs. Tickets are $40 for the general public, $25 for senior citizens and students via the theater website. Edgerton Center for the Arts at Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Ave.
Saturday, Oct. 6
Osborn Hill Harvest Fair: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Osborn Hill Elementary school hosts its annual fall festival, featuring rides, games, crafts, entertainment, food and drinks, raffles and more. Admission is free. 760 Stillson Road
Author Talk: Jeffrey C. Williams: 11 a.m. Author Jeffrey C. Williams talks about his book, "Home of Happy Dancers," at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library. Admission is free. 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.
"Star Wars" Mystery Night: 6 to 8:30 p.m. The Fairfield Public Library is celebrating "Star Wars" Reads Day all Saturday, including this after-hours cross between a scavenger hunt and a haunted house. The event is free. 1080 Old Post Road.
Billy Payne of Little Feat: 7:30 p.m. Blues/rock musician Billy Payne plays at the Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne. Tickets are $26 at the door or $22 in advance at the theater’s website. 70 Sanford St.
Sunday, Oct. 7
Opera in Cinema: “Falstaff:” 1 p.m. Bridgeport’s Bijou Theater shows a film production of the opera “Falstaff” as performed by Opera Royal De Wallonie. Tickets are $20 through the theater’s website. 275 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport.
