Disney On Ice: Worlds of Fantasy: 7 p.m. Disney on Ice continues a five-day, eight-show engagement Shows are also scheduled for at 11 a.m., 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday and at 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Webster Bank Arena, 600 Main St., Bridgeport.

Saturday, Jan. 5

Amphion String Quartet Concert: 2 p.m. The Pequot Library’s Music for Youth series presents the Amphion String Quartet, which will play a selection of classical pieces in the library’s auditorium. 720 Pequot Ave.

Concert for Newtown: 7 and 9:30 p.m. Local young musicians put on a show to raise money for the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook School shooting. Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford St.

Sunday, Jan. 6

Let Freedom Ring Jubilee Celebration: 2 p.m. The Fairfield Museum and History Center hosts a celebration in honor of the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The event features music, storytelling and a prayer service. 370 Beach Road.
