Friday, Feb. 8

"Around the World in 80 Days:" 7 p.m. Phialdelphia-based Walnut Street Theatre brings a play based on Jules Verne’s novel to Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts. 1073 N. Benson Road.

Saturday, Feb. 9

Winter Birding for Beginners: 10 a.m. Scott Kruitbosch of the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Center at Fairfield lead a class teaching the basics of finding and identifying winter birds. Call 203-259-6305, Ext. 109, to check for cancelations if snowing. 2325 Burr St.

Sunday, Feb. 10

"Becoming American" 10 Minute Play Festival: 7 p.m.  The Falcon Repertory Theatre performs a series of short plays on the topic of freedom and slavery at the Fairfield Museum and History Center. 370 Beach Road.
