Monday, Oct. 22

Solarize Fairfield Workshop: 7 p.m. Solarize Connecticut hosts an informational workshop at the Pequot Library on Fairfield’s pilot program to install solar panels on homes and businesses. There is no cost to attend. 720 Pequot Ave.

Night on the Town: 7:15 p.m. Giant Steps School launches a concert series to promote autism awareness with a performance by Bone Dry at the Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne. Tickets are $15 at the door or in advance at the theater’s website . Kids under 12 get in free. 70 Sanford St.

Representative Town Meeting: 8 p.m. Fairfield’s legislature holds its monthly meeting in the Board of Education’s conference room. The meeting agenda is available here . 501 Kings Highway East, Second floor.

Tuesday, Oct. 23

Mounatinfilm On Tour: 3:30 and 7 p.m. The film festival Mountainfilm comes to the Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne with an afternoon screening for teens and a nighttime screening for all ages. Tickets are $5 for the afternoon show and $20 at the door for the evening show. Advance tickets are $18 at the theater’s website . 70 Sanford St.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

Meet Author Susan Kueffner Hood: 2 p.m. Children’s book author Susan Kueffner Hood visits the Pequot Library to talk about her work, which includes “Just Say Boo!” and “Spike the Mixed-Up Monster.” Admission is free. 720 Pequot Ave.

“Where to Travel Next:” 7 p.m. Travel writer Susan Farewell offers her vacation suggestions in a lecture at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library. Admission is free. 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.

Bettye LaVette Concert: 7:30 p.m. Soul singer Bettye LaVette performs at the Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne. Tickets are $50 at the door or $45 in advance at the theater’s website . 70 Sanford St.

Thursday, Oct. 25

Author Talk: Sonia Taitz: Noon. The author of "The Watchmaker's Daughter: A Memoir" talks about her work at the Fairfield Public Library. The event costs $5, and the Friends of the Library ask that you preregister at the library website . 1080 Old Post Road.

Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil: 6:30 p.m. The Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield County and the Fairfield Police co-host a vigil on Sherman Green to raise awareness for domestic violence. The event is free, and located at the intersection of Post Road and Reef Road.

Wicked Bridgeport: 7 p.m. Author and Historian Michael Bielawa gives a talk at the Fairfield Museum and History Center about strange and scary stories from Bridgeport’s history. Admission is $8, or $5 for museum members. 370 Beach Road.

Yarn Concert: 7:30 p.m. Alt-country band Yarn plays at the Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne. Tickets are $20 at the door or $17 in advance at the theater’s website . 70 Sanford St.

Abraham Inc. Concert: 8 p.m. “Klezmer-funk” band Abraham Inc. performs at Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts. An encore performance will also air at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $45 at the theater box office. 1073 N. Benson Road.
