FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Cheese Company has spent the last three years bringing some of the world’s finest cheeses to Fairfield. Owners Laura Downey and Chris Palumbo have followed in the tradition of offering true artisanal cheeses and other fine foods since they opened the store’s doors in 2009.
“Our cheese collection continues to evolve,” says Downey of the shop’s growing selection. “With currently more than 100 different cheeses, and an emphasis on American artisan producers.”
Saturday, May 19, they are celebrating the shop’s third anniversary with a seriously delicious afternoon party. They’ll have plenty of cheeses to sample, along with grass-fed cheeseburger sliders made with the help of the Saugatuck Craft Butchery. The party happens from 1 to 4 p.m., and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll come hungry.
The Fairfield Cheese Company is located at 2090 Post Rd. in Fairfield, adjacent to Harry’s Wine Shop.
